i attended numerous courses in philosophy with peter while at the universitaet bielefeld and had contact with him outside the classroom. peter was a very dedicated and talented student with unusually broad interests and knowledge, spanning philosophy, literature, psychology, and it. he gained a reputation among facukty and graduate students alike as being both theoretically and practically adept, and very helpful. having grown up in north platte, nebraska, i am very pleased to have learned that peter will be moving to grand island, where my brother, fred arnold, lives. given peter's intelligence, versatility, and amiability, he would be a great addition to any staff in need of someone with his background.
